About Me

I am a Reader at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow Scotland. Previously, I worked at the SFB 884 Collaborative Research Center on the "Political Economy of Reforms" at the  University of Mannheim in Mannheim, Germany as a Post-Doctoral Researcher. At the University of Strathclyde, I am continuing my research on party politics and political text analysis begun in my dissertation and at the University of Mannheim developing creative theories of intra-party decision-making and collecting data on the organization and preferences of intra-party actors.

Current and recent funded projects focus on intra-party divisions over major issues such as powers for the EU (EUINACTION), powers for devolved and state governments (Carnegie Trust), and a framework for advancing computational approaches for text analysis in Europe (OPTED).

For additional information on my recent publications and research, please take a look at my Curriculum Vita or my Research page.
