Zac Greene

Welcome!

I am a Reader (Associate Professor) at the Department of Government and Public Policy at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland). I moved to Glasgow in summer 2015 after serving as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the SFB 884 Collaborative Research Center on the "Political Economy of Reforms" at the  University of Mannheim (Mannheim, Germany). I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Iowa where I studied comparative politics, political institutions and quantitative methods.

My research and teaching interests include comparative politics, intra-party politics, parties and elections, legislative behavior, public policy, computational text analysis and European Politics. My research links the disagreements and dynamics that occur with political parties to their election strategies, government formation and the policy-making process. In addition,  I am Co-PI on the Norface network funded EUINACTION project with Nikoleta Yordanova and Goran Glavas examining hte impact of domestic national politics and preferences on the policy-making competencies of the European Union institutions.
